HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I'm looking forward, learning to fit and sew clothes that fit me in 2014.
I have already learned so much from kind people willing to share their talent on sewing blogs. THANK YOU ALL! I pray that 2014 will be a blessed and prosperous year for all.

Decembers Garment is done.

I completed my Crafty's class with the Tiltons, and made a T- shirt. It was an easy sew which went fast, after I cut it down two sizes. I should have cut the cuffs down, so they would have fit better.

My goal for 2014 is to focus on getting pants to fit. I would also like to try sewing a good fitting Bra

Hello my fellow sewing & blogger community, I have been trying to figure out how to add join this site button. I thought I had it,but then it's gone. If anyone can help me it would be very much appreciated.

On a sewing note. I've decided to just finish the tee I'm making and complete my silk blouse for my Decembers garment.
Having to get so much sewing done for Christmas isn't leaving me much time . I managed to get 5 queen size quilts done. Now working on quilted Christmas socking and Pillow case & towel wraps. I have 10 grandkids and 3 more on the way!
Granny always tries to make homemade gifts.
That being said, I'm going to wait until January to start working with my Sure Fit Design system. The first two attempts need some tweaking in the bust. I did like how the shoulders fit.
My main goal as a sewer is to get a good fit. I enjoy sewing so making my own clothes would be a plus because I hate shopping and trying on clothes.

Hope I figure  out how to add join this site to my blog, so others can see the progression of my sewing & fitting adventure.

Hope everyone had a blessed weekend.

DECEMBER'S GARMENT

I took a Craftsy's Class
The Ultimate T-Shirt with Marcy and Katherine Tilton.
Pattern (V8793)
I'm not ready to spend a lot of money on fabric until I know how to fit.
So I picked this knit up at Wal-Mart. I'm pairing it up with a black knit. So Hancock Fabrics here I come.

Something else I need to learn is different fabrics.

And remember the top I just made that was way to big?

Well
I made another one.
Here's what it looks like so far.
    and the fit is wonderful!
It's silky like fabric that came from Wal-Mart at only $4.00 yd
I did a size 16 in the arms & shoulders and 18 for the rest.

I love this top so much I can't wait to wear it!
I'm sure I'll be making many more.

(Sure Fit Design System)?

Let's say I need to keep working on it. :(
My measurements fell between a D or C cup.
First top I made a D cup, to big.
Second top I made C cup still to big in that area.
I like the C cup top better, but still not a sure fit yet.
I'll keep you posted.

I Hope Everyone has a Blessed Week!
